First Meeting of the year!

This is a planning meeting- bring your plans for field trips you will lead, or classes you plan to conduct.

(Already one 7-12th grade  literature class is planned for Friday afternoons 1-2p.m. )

Mrs. Nancy Halverson is the  wife of Bruce Halverson, President of Augustana and she will be there to speak of “Arts in Education”.  She is a faculty member of Augustana and has lots of interesting things to share with us!

Bring a dozen cookies, or some bars with you to share a snack and fellowship at our meeting. See you there!

COMMUNITY EVENTS FOR HOMESCHOOLERS TO ATTEND

Sept 21   1:30PM   Herb Class County Extension Building 1:30 PM Various approaches to health and nutrition will be discussed. No Charge.

Sept 26   1 0:00AM  Civil War Soldier presentation taught at and by the Courthouse Museum  Grade 4-Adult Please reserve with Dawn 332-3046

Oct 24   10:00 AM  Spinning yarns presentation taught by and at the Courthouse Museum Grades K-5 Please call to reserve a spot. 332-3046

Nov 20  1:30 PM  Maximum 20 kids.  Tour takes about 30 minutes. You MUST register for this field trip.  Call Dawn at 332-3046 to sign up.

EDUCATORS APPRECIATION NIGHT -Barnes and Noble.  Date and Time TBA.   Bring copy of your exemption letter. to get a an Educator’s Discount Card.  This is a fun evening and worth the effort to come out and enjoy an evening at the store.
